住房 & 餐
CEA CAPA has made arrangements for students to live in the Stay Club Camden, a safe and modern student residence in the Camden neighborhood in central London.
The student residence is home to hundreds of students, including other American study
abroad students, British students, and international students from around the world.
The Stay Club is a wheelchair accessible building located in central London in between
two main throughways: Camden High Street and Kentish Town Road. 学生可以期待
to commute about 40 minutes by bus or subway from the residence hall to the CEA CAPA
Program Center in Kensington for classes.
At the Stay Club, two students will share a premium studio (double occupancy) room
with another Skidmore student on the 伦敦呸!咄! program. If there is an uneven number
of students, a student may be assigned to a single room.
Each room contains two beds (bunked), a shared desk with 2 chairs, a shared wardrobe
(large enough to accommodate 2 people), 一个小厨房, and a shared, private bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower. 小厨房也会
stocked with a microwave, sink, minifridge, freezer, kettle, toaster, stove, and starter
厨房用具. Bed sheets and towels are also provided. Rooms include internet access,
and there is wireless internet in many of the communal parts of the building.
学生 will receive a partial meal plan that includes breakfast and dinner Monday-Friday
at the student residence hall. Each student will also receive a living stipend from Skidmore intended to cover most
food costs (not provided by with the partial meal plan) and a local transportation
通过.
学生 will also be able cook for themselves or with their roommate using their
客房小厨房. A variety of grocery stores, cafés, and restaurants will also
be within walking distance of the residence hall. (Please note that the living stipend
is meant to cover most meals if you cook for yourself and public transportation. 学生
should budget some additional personal funds to cover eating out, taxis, books, laundry,
independent travel, etc.)
There is also a dedicated Skidmore Program Assistant (typically a student that has
just graduated from Skidmore) living in student housing with the students.
保持健康
Our students’ health is very important. For that reason, Skidmore provides basic international
health insurance coverage. If a student should have a medical issue during the semester
abroad, the staff at CEA CAPA or the Program Assistant will help facilitate medical
referrals or students can contact 校外学习 & 交流 directly for assistance.
